I Forgot I Was Funny

“I’ve lost my mojo baby!”  Quote from Austin Powers’ movie ‘The Spy Who Shagged Me’

In the movie Austin is referring to his sex appeal.  However, the word mojo can be traced as far back as 1926 and refers to ‘finding the magic in what we do’.  It also has African roots as a small bag of magic charms and herbs, tied with a draw string and worn under clothes to bring good luck.

Recently a friend of mine said to me ‘I forgot I was funny’! It took a change in her previously challenging living situation to re-find herself and to once again laugh out loud, crack jokes and generally live life ‘as she desired’.  Do you identify with this? What has happened to you that your personality has diminished or disappeared?  Is it your job, your relationship, your love life or lack of, or your living environment?

Do you enjoy life to the fullest with friends, colleagues and your loved ones?  When was the last time you belly laughed?  Laughter is not only the best medicine; it is how we were meant to live. Why else were we given the ability to smile, laugh and love?

If you’ve lost or given away your mojo go out there and find it. Live your life how you wish to TODAY and laugh out loud – even at your own jokes!!!
